The Best Spotify Wrapped Of My Career

Best year of my life for the 3rd year in a row. Shout out every single one of you for holding me down and lifting me up. Brick by brick, day by day, I’ve been figuring out how to make this all happen and it’s really happening. This year was the best year of my life on so many facets, and it’s still going strong to the end (big surprise to be announced next week).

My Spotify numbers are better than ever. My numbers on every streaming platform are better than ever. My Instagram has grown more than ever. I’ve done the best shows of my life this year. And made real impact on real people in the community. Both locally in Brampton/Toronto, and globally around the world.

Spotify Wrapped means nothing and everything. It’s all about perspective. I’m celebrating every win.

I Just Wanna Party (Live From My Headline Show)

I still have a lot more footage from this monumental night. But, one of the songs that really stood out to me while I was performing was I Just Wanna Party. It really lived up to the title, with my guy Anas Ansari bringing incredible energy as well.

This was late into the show, so it was a blessing to see the crowd still hype and getting into it. It was especially dope to see people who didn’t know Hindi jamming to the music regardless.

I Entered This Red Bull / Def Jam India Rap Contest

I’ve become a big fan of Karan Kanchan ever since I heard his song with Divine called "Baazigar”. That was a couple years back, I actually met him a couple times while out in India last year as well.

I saw this open verse challenge pop up and quickly entered it. I haven’t done a contest in years to be honest, so it feels good to get back to my roots. I came into the rap game doing remixes and entering contests, and to this day that’s been a big part of my growth.

It’s hosted by Red Bull India & Def Jam India, so let’s see what comes out of it. I’ve already gotten great exposure from the verse itself, so anything after this is a blessing.

Am I A Top 5 Desi-Canadian Artist Rapping In English?

I did some research and came to the conclusion that there’s literally 10 or less South Asian diaspora music artists from Canada rapping in English. This video above highlights some (#5 is my personal favorite), but there are others as well.

There are also many people who came before me that paved the way, regardless of their “success”. And I have many peers currently on the come up just like me, a lot of whom I’ve collaborated with already. Shout out all of them.

I got big plans for 2025. Looking to claim the top of this list.

It’s been a crazy time since the album release. The same thing happened 3 years ago when my first album dropped. You push the boulder up the mountain, the album drop is the peak, and then momentum builds as everything happens fast and that rock rolls down.
