I’m Bringing New Vibes In 2025 - Here’s A Snippet

I haven’t released any music since Motherland. It’s been 4 months. Time to change that.

Don’t think I haven’t been cooking up. In fact, I’ve been cooking up music for after Motherland BEFORE it dropped.

Check out the Blackout snippet, and let me know what you think with a reply to this email!

Motherland is still going strong, a lot of exciting things around that project will still be coming in 2025. Excited for all that this year holds.

I Crowd Surfed In The Rain On NYE

Closing 2024 out by performing in my hometown on New Year’s Eve was probably the most legendary way to do it. The best year of my life, ending in the best way.

At some point during my set, a woman in the front row yelled out “Crowdsurf!” Now, y’all know I just did my FIRST crowd surf ever at my headline show in Toronto. This situation was very different. It’s cold, it’s raining, there’s a giant barrier fence between myself and the audience, and most of these people are seeing me for the first time. I told her I might do it at the end if the vibe feels right.

The vibe felt right.

I performed my UK Garage song Locked & Loaded, and as it neared it’s end, I ran to the crowd and started high fiving the whole front row, running a full lap. I kind of did a vibe check on that woman and the area where she was, to see if they’d really do it. I ran back, jumped onto the fence, hyped them up, and went for it.

Crowd “surfing” in the rain, what’s better than that?

I’m On The Biggest Billboard In Brampton

This feeling of seeing yourself on a screen as big and iconic like this doesn’t get old.

Shout out the Brampton Arts Organization for believing in me and showcasing my music video for Back To Brampton up on the big Brampton screen.

It’s screening up there every day for the entire month of January, between 12-1pm and 6-7pm.

My First Online Music Business Workshop Series

Last year I was able to do a variety of masterclasses in Toronto/Brampton, and even did 1 online for Meta Ads.

This year, I’m expanding on all of that by doing an entire music business masterclass series online. Beginning Tuesday February 4, and for the following 8 Tuesdays after that, I’ll be hosting in-depth sessions that break down all aspects of being an independent artist. This includes everything from branding, making money, social media, ads, grants, merchandise and more.

I Was On A Podcast In New York City

Going to New York City has been an annual thing for me since 2021. The energy, people, and infrastructure really inspires me every time I’m out there.

This time, I went down to be a guest on Conversations With Chai, an emerging podcast focused on highlighting the South Asian diaspora and related creator space.

Had a great talk with my boy Ihram (host), RMS (on Brand New Vibe), and Mrii (produced Around The World).

While in NYC, I also attended Indo Warehouse for the first time, which was dope to experience as those guys are doing Coachella this year. Had a lot of pizza (including Joe’s), deli sandwiches, and incredible fusion food.
